Pinewood Derby Time!

One of the highlights of Chase turning 8 and becoming a Cub Scout was that he would get to participate in the Pinewood Derby. He has been looking forward to this for sometime and was very excited to make his first car. We had him draw out his design and then the real work began.

This is what he wants it to look like- we'll see how it turns out.

Chase is never the type to just pick out one color so after several colors were chosen and the car painted this was the result. It had to dry overnight but I think it will look pretty good.

Chase ended up in first place and as you can see was very excited. I'm not sure how you top that for next year but I'm sure he and his dad will have lots of fun trying- good job Chase!
