After a year of looking for a house we finally found one that we really liked and had everything we wanted. Unfortunately, it also needed some serious TLC but thankfully we were up to the challenge. On October 2, 2009, we purchased our new home and the work was quickly under way. These pictures show the house before the work was completed.
Our new home- hooray! It is two stories with three bedrooms and a bonus room and almost .75 acres in town.
The house was a blueish gray with burgundy trim on the windows.
The kitchen actually had custom cabinets so we didn't have to change them- we just decided to restain them and we needed all new appliances.
This is the breakfast nook and the living room with a side door leading out to our deck and backyard.
This is our laundry room and mud room- the floor was definitely needing to be replaced in here.
This is the living room and was actually one of the best rooms in the house.
This is the master bedroom- we need to repaint and put in new carpet in here. The master bedroom is downstairs while the other bedrooms and bonus room are upstairs.
This is the formal dining room and also needs new flooring. One of the worst problems we had to fix with this house was the flooring. Animals had been able to use the inside as their bathroom and the smell was awful. Thankfully we were able to fix that!
This is the staircase to the second story. The stairs were in fairly good shape but needed to be re-carpeted and definitely need to change that paint color!
More of that fancy color!
This will be the boys room. It is very large with a nice large closet. We will be changing color in here and putting carpet in.
Upstairs bath- definitely not the color for the boys!
This will be Randi's room. That looks like paint but is actually wallpaper- that was another big challenge!

The carpet in here definitely needs to be replaced. As you can see we had a lot of work to do- but boy was it worth it!!!
